gall: This mite is associated with the stunting of plants and flower buds and inflorescence deformation displaying hypertrophy. Inflorescences are completely distorted becoming reniform; the outer leaflets of the spathe coarsen, becoming thickened and yellowish, with shortened tunicate appendages. (Denizhan ao).
