gal: De bloemenknoppen zijn vergroot en blijven gesloten. Larven gregair, aanvankelijk wit, uiteindelijk oranje-geel; ze kunnen springen. Overwintering en verpopping in de grond; één of twee generaties.

gall: The flower buds are enlarged and remain closed. Larvae gregarious, white when young, finally yellow-orange; they can jump. Hibernation and pupation in the ground; univoltine or bivoltine.
