gal: Eén tot drie larven leven tussen de binnenste bloemdekbladen (vruchtkleppen) en de ontwikkelende vrucht; de knobbels op de vruchtkleppen zijn vergroot en intens gekleurd. De nootjes raken misvormd. De volgroeide larve is citroengeel. Multivoltien, verpopping in de gal of in de aarde.

gall: One to three larvae live between the inner petals and the developing achene; the warts on the inner petals are enlarged and brightly coloured. The achene becomes malformed. The mature larve is lemon yellow. Multivoltine, pupation in the gall or in the soil.
