gal: Larven in de gesloten en wat vergrote bloemknoppen. De larven zijn gregair, volgroeid vuilgeel of zwavelgeel tot oranje; ze kunnen springen. Verpopping in de bodem.

gall: Larvae in the closed and somewhat enlarged flower buds. The larvae are gregarious, off-yellow or sulphur yellow to orange when full grown; they can jump. Pupation in the soil.
