gal: De vrucht is ietwat vergroot, vervormd, en eindigt in een, vaak scheve, spits. Ook kunnen de bovenste bladeren aan een stengel vergroeien tot een peervorige gal van ca een cm groot; datzelfde kan gebeuren met okselknoppen, dan is de gal kleiner. Binnenin één grote kamer. Larven gregair, oranjerood. Verpopping in de grond.

gall: The fruit is somewhat enlarged, disfigured, ending in an acute, frequently oblique, point. Also the upper leaves of a stem may fuse into a pyriform gall of about 1 cm length; the same may happen to axillary buds, the galls are smaller then. Inside one large chamber. Larvae gregarious, orange red. Pupation in the soil.
