gal: De larven zijn wit en kunnen niet springen; ± 3 larven in een hauw. Schadelijk in koolzaadculturen. Eieren worden in het bijzonder afgezet in wondjes die tevoren door andere oorzaken in de hauw zijn gemaakt, in het bijzonder door vraat van de snuitkever Ceutorhynchus obstrictus (Marsham, 1802) [= C. assimilis (Paykull, 1792)]. Verscheidene generaties per jaar; verpopping in de grond.

gall: The larvae are white and cannot jump; ± larvae in a silique. The species is a pest in crops of oilseed rape. Oviposition mostly in wounds that previously had been made in the pod, in particular by feeding by the curculionid Ceutorhynchus obstrictus (Marsham, 1802) [= C. assimilis (Paykull, 1792)]. Several generations per year; pupation in the soil.
