gal: De bloemknoppen worden kogelrond, vaak rood aangelopen, en blijven gesloten. In elke gal een zwavelgele springende larve; verpopping in de grond.

gall: The flower buds turn globular, often reddish, and remain closed. Each houses a sulphur yellow, juming larva, that eventually pupates in the soil.
