Rabdophaga salicis pupa

pupa; contrary to the similar Rabdophaga dubiosa the pupa has a spine next to the base of the antenna.

gal: Een enkele generatie per jaar. De solitaire oranje larve overwintert in de gal en verpopt zich daarbinnen in het voorjaar. De larvekamer bevat een frass.

gall: A single generation per year. The solitary orange larve hibernates in the gall and pupates there in spring. The larval chamber does not contain frass.
