Leveillula taurica

Capsicum annuum, from Unamuno (1943a): leaf section to show the internal mycelium, conidia, conidiophores

gal: mycelium in- en uitwendig; uitwendig mycelium beiderzijdig wit, meestal dicht-viltig. Appressoria tepelvormig, enkel of meervoudig gelobd, of zelfs koraalvormig. Conidia solitair, in twee vormen.

gall: mycelium internal and external; external mycelium white, generally dense, felt-like, amphigenous. Appressoria nipple-shaped, lobed, multilobed or even coralloid. Conidiophores, long, thin, emerging through the stomata. Conidia single, in two forms. The first conidium formed is lanceolate, later ones are elliptic. Cleistothecia rarely formed; they contain up to 20 asci, that have two spores. Appendages mostly numerous, attached below the equator, shorter than the diameter, sometimes hardly branched, in other cases stronger branching, even coralloid.

waardplanten: breed polyfaag

hostplants: broadly polyphagous
