gal: mycelium beiderzijdig, ook op de stengels, dicht, wit, later een bruinig vilt. Appressoria onduidelijk tot tepelvormig. Conidia in ketens gevormd, met fibrosine-lichaampjes, elliptisch, 12.5-16.5 x 24-34 µm. Cleistothecia met één ascus die 8 sporen bevat. Aanhangsels meestal weinig, sub-equatoriaal, 0.5-2 x de diameter; mycelioid, hyalien of lichtbruin, gesepteerd, onvertakt.

gall: mycelium amphigenous, also on stems, dense, white, finally a brownish felt. Appressoria indistinct to nipple-shaped. Conidia formed in chains, with fibrosin bodies, elliptic, 12.5-16.5 x 24-34 µm. Cleistothecia with a single ascus, containing 8 spores. Appendages normally few, sub-equatorial, 0.5-2 x the diameter; mycelioid, hyaline or pale brown, septate, simple.
