gal: diffuse, spoelvormige, zwelling van de hoofdnerf, soms ook de bloemstengel. De gal is ietwat glazig, glanzend, aanvankelijk geelgroen, later vaak violet. In en rond de vaatbundels woren schimmelsporen gevormd.

gall: diffuse, spindle-shaped swellings of the midrib, sometimes also the pedicel. The gall is somewhat vitreous, shiny, yellowish green at first, later often purplish. Fungus spores are formed in and around the vascular tissue.
