gal: Geen waardwisseling. Spermogonia, aecia, uredinia en telia beiderzijdig. Aecia in groepen, meestal op bleke of roodbruine bladvlekken, bekervormig met ongeslagen rand; sporen geel. Uredinia kaneelbruin, poederig; sporen met 2-3(4), meestal equatoriale poren. Telia lang door de epidermis bedekt, donkerbruin, compact; sporen eencellig, eivormig, glad; steel blijvend, tot 110 µm.

gall: No host plant alternation. Spermogonia, aecia, uredinia, and telia amphigenous. Aeciia in groups, generally on pale or red browm leaf spots, cupulate with recurved margin; spores yellow. Uredinia cinnamon brown, pulverulent; spores with 2-3(4) equatorial pores. Telia long covered by the epidermis, dark brown, compact; spores one-celled, ovoid, smooth; pedicel persistent, up to 110 µm.
