gal: De hele aar is zwartbestoven met brandsporen, van de zaden is niets terug te vinden. De sori zijn naakt vanaf het moment dat ze herkenbaar zijn. De sporen zijn enkelvoudig, bruin, 5-7 x 6-9 µm; de wand is dicht wrattig.
