gal: Eenkamerige meeldraadgal. De gal is spoelvormig, 2-3 mm lang, duidelijk afstaand wit-behaard, haren korter dan de diameter van de gal; ze staan tussen de normale meeldraden in. De gal wordt in mei-juni verlaten.

gall: Unilocular catkin gall. The gall is spindle-shaped, 2-3 mm long, with long, erect white, hairs < diameter of the gall; they are situated amidst normal anthers. The gall is vacated in May-June.
