Lepidoptera: Plutellidae

By several authors the families Acrolepiidae and Plutellidae are united into one (Parenti, 2000a; Zagulyaev, 1990b,c); the Fauna Europaea (2014) however, treats them separately, like does Heppner (1987a) and Sterling ao (2012a). At the other hand there are authors, like (Agassiz, 1996a), who consider the Plutellidae a subfamily of the Yponomeutidae. The classification of the Microlepidoptera still is far from settled. The larvae feed on Brassicaceae.
