mijn Lange gangmijn; meestal is het eerste deel onderzijdig, het latere deel bovenzijdig. Vaak liggen de windingen zo dicht opeen dat een secundaire blaas ontstaat, die, doordat onder- en bovenzijdige gangen elkaar kunnen kruisen, in doorzicht vreemde transparante plekken vertoont. De mijn vertoont geen associatie met de hoofdnerf. De frass ligt in draadstukjes en sliertjes. De larve verlaat voor de verpopping de mijn via een boogvormige snede in de bovenepidermis.

mine Long corridor mine. As a rule the first part of the mine is lower-surface, the later part upper-surface. Often the loops are so dense that a secondary blotch is the result. Because upper- and lower-surfe corridor segments often cross, the mine obtains a strange array of transparant patches. There is no association with th midrib. Frass in strings and thread fragments. Pupation outside the mine; exit slit in upper epidermis.

fenologie Larven van juni tot september, in tenminste twee generaties (Hering, 1957a), maar in Nederland al larven waargenomen in april.
