Aceria marginemvolvens, galling Artemisia vulgaris

detail

gall

leaf margin densely rolled down inwards; mainly at the tip of a shoot.

hostplants

Asteraceae, (narrowly?) monophagous

Artemisia vulgaris.

Also a single record of A. alba (Petanović & Stanković, 1999a).

notes

the mites live freely on the leaf, especially the densely hairy underside; galling perhaps only facultatively.
