mandbible and detail of the spinulation

The larva is described by Griffiths (1963a). The mandible has 4, not alternating, teeth. Rear spiracula (with 3 papillae) separated by 1.5-2 times their own diameter. No finely spinulose field behind the mandibles. For an Agromyza, the spinulation is weak and imcomplete.

De Meijere’s (1925a) description of the larva of nigripes clearly refers to A. hendeli. This probably also applied to the drawing in Starý (1930a).
