A single larva lives in a small depression at the underside of the leaf; at the upperside a little wart, less tan a mm high; around this point a yellowed zone, ± 1 cm ø. After the larva has vacated the gall a yellow spot remains the eventually withers. Univoltine, pupation in the soil.
