Pear-shaped, 1.5-2 cm long, all-sided swelling of one year old branches; the bark is not cracked. Inside, a number of elongated, generally coalescing gall chambers. Per chamber one lemon yellow or light orange larva. Univoltine, pupation within the gall. The pupa doesn’t have a tooth near the base of the antenna.
