the leaves are rolled inwords and/or the inflorescence is compacted. The apterae, 1-2 mm, are whitish yellow to pale green, wax-powdered.

notes

The species lives, without host alternation, on Silene species. Confusion with Brachycaudus lychnidis, that also lives exclusively on Silene, cannot be excluded.
