the aptera is dirty green to dark brown, always with a number of transversal rows of black sclerites. No hostplant alternation, often attended by ants. The aphids case suction damage (disfigurement, growth disturbance) of the inflorescence and young foliage.

To a lesser degree also on other maples and on Aesculus hippocastanum.
