mine

Large, verry trasparant blotch in the tip of a leaf segment of a very young and tender leaf. The mine begins upon the leaf margin. Frass in dispersed grains. Pupation outside the mine. Vacated mines shrivel strongly.

Sapindaceae, monophagous

Acer campestre, platanoides.

Mainly on young plants (Altenhofer & Pschorn-Walcher, 1998a).

Larvae in May-June (Hering, 1957a).

distribution within Europe

From Sweden and the Baltic States to the Pyrenees, Alps and Bulgaria (Fauna Europaea, 2008).
