mycelium amphigenous, rather thin and inconspicuous, whitish. Appressoria lobed, mostly paired. Conidia solitary, without fibrosin bodies, elliptic. Foot-cell of conidiophore mostly straight. Cleistothecia with 2-6 asci, containing 4-8 spores. Appendages 4-16, equatorial, 1-3 the diameter; especially the shorter ones stiff, 0-3 septate, brown only near the base; apically several times bifurcating in quick succession.
