mycelium hypophyllous, weak. Conidia solitary, club-shaped, no fibrosin bodies. Cleistothecia with 8-20 two-spored asci. Appendages 4-12 in an equatorial circle of stiff, aciculate appendages that are conspicuously swollen at their base.
