no alternation of host plant. Spermogonia amhpigenous, yellow, close to the aecia, between epidermis and cuticula. Aecia amphigenous, orange, up to 1.5 mm, without a peridium but with a circle of hyaline, sausage-shaped curved paraphyses; spores produced in chains, densely verrucose. Uredinia like the aecia, but hypophyllous, spores single, pedicellate, wall finely spinulate. Telia hypophyllous black; spores long pedicellate, elliptic, brown, transversely divided into 3-6 smooth cells, apically gradually tapering to a blunt apiculus.
