No host plant alternation, Spermogonia amphigenous, yellow. Aecia mainly hypophyllous, initially opening by a pore, eventually cupulate; spores orange. Uredinia missing. Telia amphigenous, dark brown; spores one-celled, wall with a rectangular grid; apically a hemispherical papilla; pedicel short.
