Aecia dish-shaped, not causing distinct leaf spots, spores smooth at the one side, verrucose at the other. Uredinia brown; spores 21-28 µm ø, with 2-3 germination pores. Telia dark brown, rarely formed; spores one-celled, on a short, thin, deciduous pedicel.
