no host alternation. Spermogonia epiphyllous, yellow. Aecia amphigenous, orange, up to 2 cm, on galled veins or petioles. Uredinia similar, hypophyllous. Telia hypophyllous, small, blackish brown; spores globular, consisting of three cells.
