In the caption of the figure that accompanies Hering’s description the species name is written as araciocesis. This is an obvious printing error, as the specie is compared with crepidocecis, the epithet –cecis referring to the gall induced by the larva. Nevertheless, the name is spelled araciocesis by the Fauna Europaea (2008).
