Lower-surface thin tentiform mine, 14-16 mm long, with only rarely some indistinct folds.

Amelanchier ovalis; Cotoneaster integerrimus, nebrodensis; Sorbus aria, chamaemespilus.

Bivoltine, the dates dependent on th altitude; hibernation as pupa.

distribution within Europe

Alps, 500-1750 m (Triberti, 2007a).

Cremaster with two pair of thorns, the inner pair about half as heavy as the outer one; the thorns of the outer pair curved outwards, those in the inner pair inwards. The thorns of the outer and inner pair just touch each other at their base, but do not overlap.

As far as Triberti’s description goes, the pupa seems to key out near Ph. sorbi in the key by Gregor & Patočka (2001a).
