Larva with an unusual median projection of the mesothorax (behind the front spiracula). Rear end without the customary lobes. Spinulation extremely fine. Behind the mandibles a finely rugulose field. The front spiraculum is bifid, with 17-19 papillae; rear spiraculum with 23-25 papillae (Hering,1963a; Beiger, 1975a).
