Spermogonia, uredinia and telia hypophyllous, on yellowed leaf spots. The fresh uredinia have a striking bright-yellow colour; later they turn rust-coloured. Teliospores spinulose, with 3(4) equatorial germination pores; the wall conspicuously thickened at the top. Telia small, lang covered by the epidermis; spores two-celled, smooth, on a a short deciduous pedicel.
