Often part of the corridor in the deeper layers of the leaf. Frass in strings. Pupation generally within the mine.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-hostplant\">hostplants<\/h3>\n<p>Juncaginaceae, monophagous<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"latinnames\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/triglochin\" target=\"_blank\">Triglochin<\/a> maritima.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-phenology\">phenology<\/h3>\n<p>Larvae in July-August (Hering, 1957a).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-distribution\">BENELUX<\/h3>\n<p>Not known from the Benelux-countries. Because the species has been found in the Wadden area near Kiel (von Tschirnhaus, 1981a), the species is to be expected in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-distribution\">distribution within Europe<\/h3>\n<p>From Scandinavia tot Germany, and from the UK to Poland.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-synonym\">synonyms<\/h3>\n<p><em>Liromyza angularis<\/em> Hendel, 1920; <em>L. triglochinae<\/em> Hendel, 1931.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-remark\">notes<\/h3>\n<p>Until the study by von Tschirnhaus (1981a) of the minerr fauna of the German Wadden coast it as assumed that only one <em>Liriomyza<\/em> species was living on <em>Triglochin maritimum<\/em> and <em>palustre<\/em>, viz. <em>L. triglochinae<\/em> ( recently rebaptised into <em>L. angulicornis<\/em>). Von Tschirnhaus discovered that on <em>T. maritimum<\/em> two <em>Liriomyza<\/em>&#8216;s co-occur, sometimes even in the same mine: : <em>L. angulicornis<\/em> and <em>L. latipalpis<\/em> Hendel.
