Often several larvae in a mine. Frass in irregularly dispersed granules. According to Hering (1957a), pupation takes place outside the mine, but Pakalni\u0161kis (2004a) states the opposite.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-hostplant\">hostplants<\/h3>\n<p>Ranunculaceae, oligophagous<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"latinnames\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/actaea\">Actaea<\/a> europaea, japonica, spicata.<\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>Dreger &amp; Myssura (2005a) additionally mention <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/clematis\">Clematis<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-phenology\">phenology<\/h3>\n<p>Mines from May to August (Hering, 1957a).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-distribution\">BENELUX<\/h3>\n<p>The picture above illustrates the first observation on the Benelux.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-distribution\">distribution within Europe<\/h3>\n<p>From Scandinavia to the Pyrenees, Alps, and Poland (Fauna Europaea, 2008); also Slovenia (Ma\u010dek, 1999a).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-larva\">larva<\/h3>\n<p>Mandibles with 2 alternating teeth; front spiraculum bifid, with ca. 12 papillae; rear spiraculum with 16-18 papillae (de Meijere, 1937a).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-synonym\">synonyms<\/h3>\n<p><em>Phytomyza nigrociliata<\/em> Sasakawa, 1961.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"head-remark\">notes<\/h3>\n<p>Also Beri (1971e) published a description of the larva.
