Malformation resulting in compact, \u00b1 pyramidal witches\u2019 broom-like structures. <em>L. ovalifolium, vulgare: <a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/aceria-loewi\/\">Aceria loewi<\/a><\/em> and\/or <em><a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/aculus-ligustri\/\">Aculus ligustri<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- couplet --><\/p>\n<div class=\"couplet\">\n<p><strong>4a<\/strong> Axial parts, mainly at base, with conspicuous proliferations, up to walnut-size, soon woody, irregularly wrinkled, on surface, dark-brown. &#8220;Bacterial cancer&#8221; <em>L. vulgare: <a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/agrobacterium-tumefaciens\/\">Agrobacterium tumefaciens<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>4b<\/strong> Bark swollen, with rimmed irregular depressions, containing causer. <em>L. ovalifolium, vulgare: <a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/chionaspis-salicis\/\">Chionaspis salicis<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- couplet --><\/p>\n<div class=\"couplet\">\n<p><strong>5a<\/strong> Malformation of many leaves at shoot tip =&gt; 6<\/p>\n<p><strong>5b<\/strong> Leaf blade with rotund, yellowish-green pads, sometimes slightly swollen if on venation, bearing cups on underside. <em>L. ovalifolium, vulgare: <a href=\"https:\/\/bladmineerders.nl\/puccinia-isiacae\/\">Puccinia obtusata<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!-- couplet --><\/p>\n<div class=\"couplet\">\n<p><strong>6a<\/strong> Axis of young shoots and stalks of young leaves shortened.
