Upper-surface corridor. Frass in strings or closely packed grains, along the sides of the corridor. The mine is said to descend from the leaf tip to the base. Pupation outside the mine.

notes

The species has been recorded from the UK by Robbins (1991a). This is not very plausible. The material came from an aberrant host plant (Arrhenatherum) and the record does not fit well in the geographical distribution, as far as presently known.
