Large full depth blotch at the leaf margin. No initial corridor. Frass in grains, scattered through the mine. Larva solitary. Pupation in a discoidal cocoon within the mine. Prior to emergence the pupa works itself out of the mine (obs. Ruben Meert)

Not known from the Benelux countries (Fauna Europa, 2009).
