Aceria elaeagnicola Farkas, 1963
in the original description Farkas writes that the species lives as a vagrant on the leaves, not causing visible effects. However, Petanović & Stanković (1999a) state that the mite causes malformations, and invaginations and evaginations of the lamina; no explanation is given of this contradiction, nor is attention drawn to the strong similarity with the galling caused by A. angustifoliae.
the species is listed in the Fauna Europaea (2016) as A. eleagnicola.
