The literature on eriophyid galls is often confusing and contradictory. For instance, Skoracka a.o. (2005a) state that A. iteina would cause erinea, without discussing contrary views published by others.

According to most authors on sallows only; yet, cited from Salix purpurea by Petanović & Stanković (1999a).
