the Fauna Europaea does not know the name B. villosus, not even as a synonym, but speaks of B. ater (Marsham, 1802). Based on Kingsolver (2004a) I have chosen for villosus.
Gießmann & Benisch (2011a), van Frankenhuyzen & Houtman (1972a), van Frankenhuyzen Houtman & Kabos (1982a), van Frankenhuyzen & Perquin (1971a), Kingsolver (2004a).
