The larva makes fusiform galls in the stem and midrib. Under exceptional circumstances (crowding) the larvae may make mines from its midrib gall. Pupation in the soil.

host plants

Brassicaceae, monophagous

Cardamine amara, hirsuta, impatiens, pratensis.

Rarely also in the petioles of Barbarea; Lepidium campestre; Rorippa pyrenaica; Thlaspi.

Larvae in May – July (Buhr, 1964b).
