Poophagus hopffgarteni Tournier, 1873
on Rorippa, etc.
Larvae and pupae in the stems.
Brassicaceae, narrowly oligophagous
distribution within Europe
“Usually, more than one specimen was found inside single plant. Immature stages of P. hopffgarteni inhabit the thin (protruding over the water surface) parts of stems, close to the flowers. In the case of P. sisymbrii larvae and pupae were collected from submerged, old parts of stems, near the roots” (Gosik, 2008b).
