Linaria multicaulis, without reference to an author, is an ambiguous name, but based on the distribution of the beetle, Sicily, it may be assumed that L. supina was intended. However, none of the three subspecies mentioned is known to Euro+Med PlantBase (2020) or the The Plant List (2020).
