Unilocular galls, reminding of barnacles, with an exit opening at the top; the galls are 2-3 cm large, the opening almost a cm. The galls occur in groups at the roots, stems and branches. Especially on thin roots and branches op to 20 cm large clumps can develop. Pupation in the gall.
