Balachowsky mentions as host plant the extremely heterogenous pair Peganum harmala and Tamarix octandra. Both have a far eastern Mediterranean distribution, although the species occurs, albeit very rarely, in France. he reference to Peganum may apply to Thamnurgus pegani.
