Procas granulicollis Walton, 1848
climbing corydalis weevil
parasite
The biology of the few Procas species is unknown. Only in P. granulicollis it has been observed that the weevils, straddling a leaf, were eating Ceratocapnos claviculata; in captivity they also accepted Pseudofumaria lutea. However, it is considered impossible that these plants could be the larval host plants. The most likely candidate is Pteridium aquilinum, but despite much efforts this has not been confirmed.
host plants
? Dennstaedtiaceae, Papaveraceae
Ceratocapnos claviculata; ? Pseudofumaria lutea; ?? Pteridium aquilinum.
