Agromyza mobilis Meigen, 1830
mine
Long upper-surface corridor usually containing several larvae that graze shoulder to shoulder from the leaf tip downwards. Pupation outside the mine. Mines and larvae are indistinguishable from those of A. nigrella.
host plants
Poaceae, broadly oligophagous
Alopecurus pratensis; Arrhenatherum elatius; Avenula; Brachypodium sylvaticum; Briza; Bromopsis ramosa; Calamagrostis; Echinochloa crus-galli; Festuca; Holcus; Hordeum murinum, vulgare; Lolium; Milium effusum; Phalaris; Phleum pratense; Poa; Secale cereale, Triticum aestivum.
Because of confusion with A. nigrella many of these associations need confirmation. Spencer (1973b) accepts only Triticum as a host plant; Beiger (1989a, Poland): Hordeum, Secale, Triticum; Pakalniškis (2000a, Lithuania): Brachypodium, Echinochloa and Triticum.
