Upper-surface, greenish, gradually widening corridor, at first running towards the leaf tip, then reverses. Through fusion of several mines the final mine is often communal. Frass in blackish green grains, often washed out. Pupation outside the mine

distribution within Europe

From Denmark to the Iberian Peninsula, the Alps and Hungary, and from the UK to Belarus; possibly also in Sweden (Fauna Europaea, 2007); recently found in Finland (Kahanpää).
