Narrow upper-surface corridor, after the first moult suddenly changing into a large primanry blotch. Frass in the corridor in irregular black stripes and granules. Pupation outside the mine.
A reference to Lamium by Papp & Černý is to casual to be reliable.
Larvae found in mid June (Spencer, 1971b).

The illustrated material, from a small botanical garden in Amsterdam, fits well in Spencer’s description of the mine. Equivalent material has been found in Overveen, the JP Tijsse botanical park in Amstelveen and by BJ de Vries in his home garden in Diemen.
The species was described by Spencer (1971b) after material from the botanical garden of Berlin.
